Seed Packaging Machine with Dual Counting System

The elmor V800E seed packaging machine is a compact and versatile solution for packaging seeds. It can be operated with various dosing systems, with the elmor C1 counting device commonly used for precise piece counting. Alternatively, weight-based dosing can be achieved using a dosing scale. In both cases, the dosing time depends on the portion size: the higher the number of seeds or the weight, the longer the dosing process takes.

In a recent project, the customer requested a higher counting speed than could be achieved with a single elmor C1 counting device. To meet this requirement, two elmor C1 counting devices were used in parallel, effectively doubling the counting speed. Typically, around 2000 seeds per minute are counted – for example, a portion of 100 carrot seeds is counted in just 3 seconds.

The feeding trays of both counting devices are refilled by two elmor 610 feeding conveyors. These bunker feeders have a storage capacity of 2.5 liters and continuously monitor the fill level in each tray, automatically refilling them when necessary.

The elmor V800E seed packaging machine operates in single-cycle mode, meaning each package is sealed only after the dosing process is complete. This makes it easy to combine with dosing devices that have varying dosing times, such as counting devices or dosing scales.
